Also this year the annual hobby volleyball tournament took place in Werne. Six local teams competed and the KYOCERA AVX (Werne) team was again in the mix. At this tournament, fun is clearly in the foreground and there was an exuberant and cheerful atmosphere in the hall. Thanks to the great spectators who cheered us on and made the hall seethe! It was really good and we are already looking forward to next year.
KYOCERA AVX Components (New Delhi) Private Limited – 10 years of support for the “R K Public School”
Give something back – successful companies in our division are not only global players in demanding markets but also trusted employers and socially responsible members of local communities.
In this context, we have been supporting the RK Public School in Gurgaon via the NGO Naya Savera for 10 years now. With the help of our support, a school laboratory has been set up, smart boards have been purchased, washrooms have been built for the pupils and the equipment in the classrooms has also been optimized. Access to school education in India is still heavily dependent on the means of the respective families. Structured support programs enable students to concentrate fully on their education and career aspirations. During a visit in January, Thomas Rinschede (Vice President Sensing and Control Division), Sanjoy Dhar (Managing Director) and Petra Kriehn (Director Human Resources Europe) met many students and graduates who are now fully committed to their professional careers.
Our contribution provides young people with better opportunities, and we are very pleased about the good cooperation and the gracious contacts that we have been able to experience over the past 10 years.
