Brake by Wire Pedal
The KYOCERA AVX Components Brake by Wire Pedal uses two independent sensor technologies both with two redundant signals and ASILD. This monitors how far the driver pushes on the brake pedal, to send information to a control unit that communicates with the brake system. In the Brake by Wire systems, the brake pedal and the brake system are connected electrically and not mechanically. The Brake by Wire Pedal makes it possible to use a brake without hydraulic oil or reduce the number of fluids in the brake system. From the driver’s perspective, there is no noticeable difference between a classic and a Brake by Wire braking system; the pedal force over the travel curve is essential to achieve that. That is why our pedals can be made to match customers’ demands. The Brake by Wire Pedal also offers many other advantages, such as the shortened response time, which reduces the braking distance. A Brake by Wire Pedal makes the brake system less complicate, cheaper, and saves space.
